Information about the LEEF 2019 Program

Thank you for your interest in the Leaders in Equity, Environment, and Facilitation (LEEF) Program! This application is for the 2019 Cohort
 
LEEF is a two-part program that runs from March - August 2019. Please review the LEEF Flyer for Eligibility Requirements and Training Dates, then review the logistics and benefits of both parts of the program, detailed below. You must be able to participate in BOTH Spring Training and Summer Internship of the LEEF Program.

Spring Training (March - June)
Logistics:
  • WHEN: Most Saturdays (some Sundays), approximately 8:00am-5:00pm 
  • WHEN: Every other Thursday evening (this day is flexible and will be selected when we have our final cohort), approximately 6:30-8:00pm
  • WHERE: Camp Long (5200 35th Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98126; Metro Buses: 21, C Line). If a training will take place at a different location, we will provide transportation from Camp Long to that location.
Benefits:
  • Light refreshments will be provided at each session
  • One stipend for completing approximately 100 hours of training
  • High-quality rain pants and jacket to protect you when you're outside!

Summer Internship (July - August)
Logistics:
  • WHENSchedule varies and can be flexible, generally Monday-Friday (some weekends), between 9:00am-5:00pm
  • # of HOURS: Average 25 hours per week, for a total of 150 hours
  • WHERE: Camp Long and/or a community partner site
Benefits:
  • $15 per hour worked, up to 150 hours during internship
  • May include transportation and food benefits, TBD.
